Addressing Disproportionality in Alabama Schools Professional Development

     Addressing Disproportionality in Alabama Schools Professional Development has three components that must be conducted annually for all newly hired teachers, administrators, evaluators and others, as appropriate.  Documentation that the training was conducted should be kept on file to be reviewed during Focused Monitoring visits.

Component One:

Addressing Disproportionality Presentation

Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Training

Professional Development Documents

Statement of Assurance form

Each LEA is responsible for completing the Statement of Assurance form and retaining a copy of the document for Focused Monitoring.

ALSDE Professional Development Certificate

Individuals completing Addressing Disproportionality in Alabama Public Schools professional development will receive a certificate from the LEA conducting the training. It is the individual�s responsibility to retain a copy of the Addressing Disproportionality in Alabama Public Schools professional development certificate.
